Connor's Birth Story | Townsville Birth PhotographY
I got a call around 5:45am the morning that Connor was born. He had raced into the world so quickly that even the midwife didn't make it until after he was already in his mama's arms. As I stepped into the house I was struck by how peaceful everything felt. It was a beautiful gray and misty morning, the windows were open catching the breeze, and mum was still in the birthing pool gazing at her new son, while older brother wandered around checking out his new sibling. The smell of bacon and eggs wafted in from the kitchen as Dad and Grandma cooked up some well earned breakfast. I couldn't think of a better way to be welcomed in to life on the outside!
